Evening Serenade was one of the many musical variety shows that originated from the studios of WDAY, and it’s one that remained popular throughout the 1940’s. Here is the introduction to the program from Sept. 22, 1946.
As with many of WDAY’s locally produced shows that “had legs”, like Tello Test Time and The Radio Revue, the theme song went through several transformations over the years. This is the original theme, as composed by Frank Scott.
